Rival is an independent brand based between Montréal's Mile End & Toronto's Queen West.

The brand is characterized by its limited supply, high quality materials, meticulous attention to detail, and principles for innovation concerning modern design. Every piece is made by hand in downtown Toronto. 

 

 

Our goal is to improve the ethics and standards in modern design. We act as early adopters of innovative practices to inspire more ethical and improved design.

 

 

We only believe in limited supply. It improves quality, improves attention to detail, and ensures ethical labour. We do not utilize animal products or bi-products in our design, in order to support the ethical treatment of animals and environmentally friendly production. 

 

 

Our pieces are only made available through brick and mortar stores. This allows us to produce a limited supply. It also enables us to work with stores with similar values.
